BIOGRAPHY

I was born in Saskatoon, however spent most of my childhood and adolescent years in Austria. Upon returning to Saskatchewan in 1998 I completed studies for a B.Mus and M.Mus and am currently finishing my degree in computer science.

My affinity for photography started during my undergraduate years, inspired by a number of friends taking photography classes. I took literally thousands of pictures with my first 35mm SLR camera and went digital as soon as I could afford it. Years of twidling around with all kinds of graphic and photo-editing software finally paid off when I switched to digital SLRs.

As you can tell from my portfolio I tend to take very candid shots. I remember hearing someone say that photographers from the Prairies have a special eye, because they often have to look harder to find beauty in the wide open spaces. That has been my motto ever since.
